Airborne cable assemblies must withstand harsh environmental hazards and still provide high quality RF microwave interconnects over a long period of time.  Cobham Advanced Electronic Solutions’ high performance cable assemblies are designed specifically to survive these environments, offering the optimum in electrical and mechanical performance where failure is not an option.

MIL-T-81490 and MIL-DTL-87104 define a series of rigorous requirements to be acceptable in Electronic Warfare (EW) applications. We perform 29 unique tests during acceptance, including 65G vibration, -65° to 200°C at 70,000 feet, and 100,000 flexures.

Cobham Advanced Electronic Solutions has been selected by major air carriers to satisfy critical insertion loss and phase-match requirements for the FAA-mandated Traffic-Alert Collision Avoidance System (TCAS) and Secondary Surveillance (MODE-S) programs.  TCAS cables assemblies meet the same reliability and quality standards as EW cables
