Atex Certified Electric Swivel

ATEX Electrical swivels are especially designed to transfer high power voltages of several tens of kV and high currents up to 2000Amps in explosive maritime oil and gas atmospheres.

Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) structures, including buoys, loading towers or turret moorings, require highly reliable and maintenance-free electrical swivels to provide the vessel with required degree of rotation. ATEX electrical swivels must be capable of transferring uninterrupted power whilst offering great degree of protection in explosive atmospheres.

COBHAM has already delivered about numerous electrical swivels for FPSOs all around the world. COBHAM also provides certified slip rings for offshore and onshore downhole measurments (evaluation, charectirization, logging, drilling..) including ATEX ones.
